“As a private television broadcaster in Vietnam, we always set our goal as the highest quality of service for the customers, however, with suitable expenditure. After carefully researching the OBE solution, we launched some trial services for several months and got many improvements in quality. As the result, we successfully deployed OBE as the main encoder in all of our services, both DTH and DTT. Many customers benefited from that improvement and gave us positive feedback of better quality of services. OBE solution helps us increase the number of services in whilst increasing picture quality in comparison with many encoders in the market. Although OBE is new to the market, we believe that OBE would be the wise choice for any digital broadcasting system in the world in the near future”, said Mr. Tran Cong So, Technical Director of AVG - An Vien Television.
“AVG’s deployment of OBE is our most ambitious deployment to date. We are pleased that OBE has allowed AVG to improve their channel offering and look forward to working with them in the future on further improvements to their service. They have proven that software DVB encoding can be used on a large scale”, said Kieran Kunhya, Managing Director of Open Broadcast Systems Ltd. Open Broadcast Systems provided consultancy and systems integration support to AVG.
